And here’s the rest…

Wintertime!
D.S.S.&A. was, of course, the Duluth, South Shore, and Atlantic Railroad, which was the line that served Luce County. This card is undated, but is probably between 1900-1907.
This postcard was mailed in 1911. This was part of the Newberry State Hospital (formerly the Upper Peninsula for the Insane).
The sender writes “This is the female infirmary and one of the cottages.” It was mailed in 1908.
This postcard was mailed in 1929, a little past the era I was interested in, but it’s a nice card.
And this one is way past the my era of interest, but I like it too. This one is from the 1950s, maybe? The back advertises these cabins as “complete modern” with “hot water, heat, private showers, and delux mattresses.”
